We’re hosting a series of conferences for local accountants in the Oxted area to share our knowledge and expertise on subjects ranging from inheritance tax planning through to investments for their corporate and personal clients.
The first in this series of business breakfasts will be hosted in cooperation with TIME Investments and will cover the great wealth transfer – the intergenerational benefits of business relief. The event will be held on 5th December (Thursday) at 8:30 am at our offices directly opposite the main entrance to Oxted railway station.
The Great Wealth Transfer
Over the next 30 years, an estimated £5.5 trillion is due to be passed between generations in the UK. The talk will highlight the importance of intergenerational planning and the opportunities this can create for professional financial and tax advisers. Particular focus will be placed on Business Relief planning opportunities including the replacement of Business Relief qualifying shareholdings and preserving the qualifying status of trading businesses.
We will be covering:
- Office of Tax Simplifications (OTS) review of IHT and its potential implications for transfer strategies
- Maximising IHT exemptions and reliefs
- Harnessing Business Relief to its full potential
- The role of real assets in family wealth preservation
